Scandalous Grace

Is there such a thing?
Ponder this just for a monent.
You don't always get what you deserve.
If you did, you would be dead.
Grace abounded for ME!
Why of Why would I be
if grace did not abound for me?

Is grace scandalous?
I heard this phrase the
other day and was taken back.

But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.
Eph 4:7

I am still wrapping my head around this phrase. I ask that if you read this, please reply.

Scandalous Grace is there such a thing?

I see it in the way grace opposes the mores of society. The root of the word scandal is "stumbling block." How about this:
1 Corinthians 1:23 (AMP)
1Co 1:23 We preach Christ (the Messiah) crucified, [preaching which] to the Jews is a scandal and an offensive stumbling block [that springs a snare or trap], and to the Gentiles it is absurd and utterly unphilosophical nonsense.

Blessings, partner!

Everywhere I turn people are talking about grace. It seems to be the word of the week. Speak grace out on others, extend grace, live grace, recieve grace. Check out: http://www.xanga.com/CaptB

Thank you for your responses on grace.
Grace is a hard topic to define.
