Souls

(Ongoing Work)(Please comment suggestion in lyrics)

Some men's ambition is art.
Some men's ambition is fame.
Some men's ambition is gold.
My ambition is the souls of men.
"William Booth"

O to have the fire,
That I might save the dying.
Fighting to carry the flag
Of the hungry, lost, and crying!

Lord, we are here
to be used by you!
Use us, O Lord
we are wanting you!

I don't know why, but I'm hearing a "Streets of Philadelphia" type drum beat behind this, maybe even a little heavier techno sound, but anyway...

I've played around a little bit. Maybe that's not really what you were hoping for, but it's the creative process, right?

O to have the fire,
To have the heart of a lion
Fighting to carry the flag
Of the hungry, the lost, the crying, the dying, the sighing, the lying! (sort of syncopated, intense repetition)

Lord, we are here
to be used by you!
Use us, O Lord
To get your message through to the hungry, the lost, the crying, the dying, the sighing, the lying...
